Our Story
Why are we called Ugly Church...here's our story!
After being in ministry for 18 years, God began to speak and reveal to us the nature of our ministry was changing and would look so different that many onlookers would call it Ugly. He has called us to minister to many with an Ugly past and an Ugly background but he wants to embrace them with His Beauty. He even sent a lady to our chruch that was on her way home to commit suicide and she told us of the "Ugly" in her life that was destroying her. We prayed for her an we wept as God move greatly and her countenance was immediately change. As she was walking out of the building, God said watch her, watch every step...so we did. As she reached the door to leave, God spoke again and said that's the kind of "Ugly" I'm talking about! We believe without a doubt God has sent us to be a light in a dark place and to remind all that we encounter of the beautiful future God has prepared for them! It is our calling as ministers of God to not focus on the "Ugly" that people are in or carry, but to love them and show them how to trade their "Ugly" for His Beauty! his word calls it beauty for ashes!

Pastor K has come from a very "Ugly" background of alcoholism, depression, suicidal thoughts, homelessness, etc.,
but GOD! Pastor Kelly allowed God to take his "Ugly" and make something beautiful. Now he wants to reach others and help them understand that God can do the same for them!
Romans 12:2 - And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Pastor Ron WalkerGrowth Pastor
God has been on a ride with Pastor Ron who first encountered the Lord during the summer of 1992 at the age of 12 while attending Circle-C Youth Camp in Edgerton, KS. The journey didn't remain this innocent for long! Heartbreak and bad decisions lead to addictions with a "s"! Shame, guilt, depression, fear, and more entered and reigned in his life for nearly a decade.
Will the Real God Please Stand Up!!
Pastor Ron encountered Jesus without holding back, without reservation and The Holy Spirit wrecked him in the most fabulous way, redefining the ending and he has been walking in freedom watching God perform the very same miracles in others since 2008.
Matthew 10:8 - Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give!
Pastor Cindy Nesbitt Sr. Pastor & Worship Pastor
Pastor C has spent the last 18 years working in ministry with Pastor K. After coming from divorce, a messy life, having no self-worth, hopelessness, etc., God gave her Beauty for ashes!
Pastor C believes and teaches that one of the greatest weapons we have is Worship! She works with Pastor K to show others that God truly can change their "Ugly" to Beauty!
